Jacó’s Recreational Mountain Bike MTB Event to benefit the local CEN-CINAI child welfare center is being planned for Sunday, Oct. 30, at 9 a.m. This is a 100 percent adrenaline event in which riders will follow a scenic route through the mountains of Garabito. There will be fruit, guides, lunch and T-shirts for the first 100 registered. Participants may register Oct. 24-28 at the CEN-CINAI for a cost of ₡5,000 ($10). Zumba is becoming popular in the Central Pacific, and now classes are offered at Acqua Spa on the north side of Jacó. Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays at 4 p.m. For more information, call 2630-0505.
