The Coco development association (Adicoco) recently elected Julio Aguas, owner of Isabella, as its new president. Joining him are Linda Gray of Coldwell Banker as vice president and Coco Palms’ John Walton as treasurer. Adicoco has been instrumental in obtaining increased police presence in Las Playas and will be implementing further crime prevention and control plans over the summer.
Writing this as the rains finally come, it seems out of place to note that Ocotal Beach Resort, with its wonderful views, is offering resort day passes for $69. Included are lunch, snacks and beverages, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic, and full use of the facilities. And in spite of today’s rains, we all know tomorrow may see more of the warm Guanacaste sun. My battle with RTV, or Riteve, the company in charge of Costa Rica’s mandatory technical vehicle inspections, is over and won, albeit after three tries. I could not have done it without the help of ServiMart, the full-service automobile care center located just before you get to the gas station in Sardinal. ServiMart is perhaps the most full-service of all vehicle repair and maintenance facilities in the area and certainly the most like those in North America, with high-tech equipment, a clean facility and open waiting area. In addition to simply servicing cars and trucks, ServiMart can order parts for those wishing to do work on their own. And thanks to an arrangement with a supplier in Liberia, those parts can often be available within a matter of hours. For information, contact 2697-0505 or email@example.com.
