La Paz Community School, Country Day School and Academia Teocali all participated in a basketball tournament Feb. 12. Everyone had a great time sharing the sport they love with the community. Aerial silk artists gave demonstrations in the La Paz gymnasium to showcase their gorgeous art form, capturing the attention of adults and students alike.

Valentine’s Day celebrants enjoyed special dinner menus and inviting ambiences at several of our local restaurants, as well as live music: pianist Chuck Jackson at El Coconut, saxophonist Luis Chacón at Marie’s restaurant, and Donnie Walsh with Chuck Jackson and the Leatherbacks at the Happy Snapper.

Kelly and Mike of Maxwell’s Restaurant in Surfside celebrated their fifth year in business Feb. 13 with a barbecue and live music by the Banana Kings. A big thank-you goes out to them from all their supporters for offering such a great place to connect, share time together and enjoy great food.
