You won’t have to bring a lover to the Valentine Day’s party at Longhorn Bar and Grill Feb. 14 – there will be plenty to love there. Welcoming one and all, whether accompanied or not, will be Antinori Solaia, Marqués de Cáceres Gaudium, Château Palmer Alter Ego, Masi Paso Doble, Navarro Correas Ultra, Hugel Gewurztraminer, Kaya Chardonnay and Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc, as well as Longhorn owners Cindy Carroccio and Jason Elliott, who will greet romantic visitors starting at 6 p.m. Those first eight names, among many other excellent bottles from around the world, are beckoning wine lovers to an evening of wine tasting, including basic box-winers who wonder what in the world a $259 bottle of wine tastes like. While Jason and Cindy have lots of premium wines to share, the guest list is necessarily limited, so reservations are in order. Singles can get in for $25 while couples must hand over $40 to enjoy not only the wine, but also some fine dishes prepared by chef Jason – mainly seafood but with something for the vegetarians, too. You can make reservations by e-mail at 5corners grill@gmail.com or call 2695-5663.
