We have two new Mexican restaurants in Manuel Antonio. Jefe’s, at Hotel Plinio, offers Tex-Mex cuisine, margaritas, a sports bar and free Wi-Fi, as well as takeout orders at 2777-0055. The other restaurant is called Sancho’s and is in front of Barba Roja.
The Falls Resort also has a new restaurant, The Falls Garden Café, featuring tropical fusion cuisine. It’s open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily except Tuesdays, when it closes at 2 p.m. The Falls is at the top of the hill in Manuel Antonio, right before El Avión. Yet another new eatery, the Monkey Bridge Restaurant, serves Mediterranean and Thai cuisine at its location above Liquid Lounge in the old Buena Nota building, 400 meters before the beach on the right side of the road. Hours are 2 to 10 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday. For information, call 2777-5158.
