Arenal Report
Ladies of the Lake is organizing a Christmas bazaar at the Plaza del Café on Dec. 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ladies of the Lake President Ruth Fountaine says they’re welcoming artwork, craft projects, jams, jellies, preserves and pickles, cheeses, fresh produce and yard sale “stuff” for sale. Sales space may be rented for ₡5,000 ($10), allowing the seller to keep sales proceeds. To recommend artists and artisans or ask questions, contact Ruth at 8371-3015 or ruthatlol@yahoo.com. Plaza del Café is the nice faux-rustic place with stadium-size parking at the intersection of the lake and Sabalito roads.
