Jacó’s newest restaurant has a Spanish flavor. Restaurante Español de Jacó, next to the Musmanni bakery in the center of town, offers five different types of paella, tortas españolas, salads and a variety of other dishes. Owners Jimmy and Roberto are also open to any special requests. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Reservations are not needed but may be made at 2643-6512. Home delivery is available.

Speedy and Monica are starting early on their annual Thanksgiving turkey raffle, set for Nov. 21. More than 21 items will be raffled, and the cost is ₡5,000 ($10) per ticket. To join in the fun, call Monica at 8759-9646.
