In advance of the fourth annual Tamarindo Beach Raft Up, set for Dec. 12, Capt. Peter Heidenreich is seeking sponsors and donations to get the event up and running. The yearly Raft Up features local boats banding together to bring the community to an area beach for a gigantic party. Money is raised for various causes, including the Tamarindo Lifeguards. The 2011 Have a Heart Charity Golf Tournament, sponsored by Amigos de la Educación, has opened a business office in Plaza Tamarindo, suite A-10, open Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., for information, golf registration and tournament sponsorship. The 11th Have a Heart tournament will take place Feb. 14 at Hacienda Pinilla, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Money raised from the event will benefit local schools.
