Manuel Antonio/ Quepos Tidings

May 21, 2010

PAWS (Pets of Aguirre Animal Shelter) is having a big fundraiser May 22 at the Hotel Coquito in Playa Matapalo, from 11 a.m. until dusk. There will be music, barbecue, prizes, games and more. Help the cause and have lots of fun at the same time. For information, call Pat Cheek at 2777-1113.

Copaza presented a production entitled “Mirando al Norte” May 14 in our new theater at the pier. It truly is wonderful to be able to enjoy cultural events like these without having to go to San José.

Grupo Manuel Antonio organized a two-day recycling project May 14 and 15. Not only were normal items such as paper, glass and plastic recycled, but also tires, computer parts, electronics and all those hard-to-get-rid-of items were accepted. Mymositos is under new management and had its grand opening May 16. Go by and meet the new chef, Junior.
