Brian Dale will be perform the next three Sundays at Jimmy’s for breakfast. The spot is at Kahiki’s and, by the way, they are now serving breakfast daily until 2 p.m.

Tomorrow night at Voodoo Lounge  is Fight Night in Tamarindo. Promoter Jean-Francois Billon has a full card of mixed marshal arts (MMA) and boxing to entertain the crowd. International professional Ludwing Salazar – Fitenite Latin American Champion – will fight Fernando Colan from Peru. Ferrid Kheder of France, who has trained in Las Vegas with world champions, will fight Randall Jiménez, a top Costa Rican fighter. Sebastian Garguier, also from France, will fight Ricardo Guerrero of Costa Rica.

Also on the bill are two heavyweights  (more than 100 kilograms) – Juan Miranda and Carlos Vargas. There will also be amateur MMA fights, including some locals. There also will be two female boxing matches, and Wendy Aranda will be featured. Tamarindo resident and former World Boxing Council light heavyweight champion Donny Lalonde is expected to have some role in the matches, but he will not fight. For information, call 8858-2982.

The Pasatiempo Restaurant has closed, and along with it, the popular Tuesday Open Mic Night.
